About the Program

It is considered that it is difficult for representatives of humanitarian professions to adapt in a digital society, but this is wrong. In fact, the division of professions into technological and humanitarian is very rough. In the modern world, there is already a shortage of specialists with a philological education who are able to use digital tools. It is known that IT specialists are excellent at coding, but they rarely know how to present their programs and services in an interesting way. And to write such texts, a philologist must understand the specific nature of digital technologies.

The ability to work as an advanced user with systems such as Figma, various CMS, Moodle, iSpring and Sketch Engine, including in the interface in English and other languages, knowledge of programming languages and the ability to use them (for example, the ability to program in Python), the ability to create digital educational and informational content make a "digital" philologist a sought-after specialist of the future, and digital philology is a promising direction.
